We ask all first-year counselors to work our full summer season (May 18-August 7) unless you have a school date exemption. Working all four of our sessions (Junior, June, Main, and August Camps) will give you the fullest, most complete staff experience possible! We design our staff experience to build on itself throughout the summer, and each session is unique.
Full-Summer counselors must be at least one year out of high school and be able to attend our one-week staff Orientation (May 18-24) at the beginning of the summer. Some activity areas require specialized training that will occur before regular staff Orientation begins. Extra training dates will be discussed in the interview process.
We’ll teach you everything you need to know about being a great counselor so that you are equipped for your role at Greystone. Some activity areas require additional training that will be provided to you. All we ask is that you arrive at camp ready to work hard and participate fully in our community. We’ll take care of the rest!
These full-staff Orientations are held during your very first week of work. We will continue to provide additional trainings throughout the summer, making sure you are growing as an employee and prepared for each week at camp.
