Mountain Biking Job Description

Mountain Biking is new to Greystone and has quickly become one of our most popular activities. We are looking for counselors who have mountain biking experience and a keen eye for instruction and safety. Our program is run by a certified PMBIA instructor and former Greystone men staffer. It’s a great community where you will work hard and play hard!

What’s a Typical Day Like in Mountain Biking?

Mountain Biking begins each class with a quick overview of what the day will hold. Whether it’s passing a level, hitting the River Trail, or conquering our new pump track, each class focuses on gaining a new skill while having a lot of fun.

As part of the Mountain Biking Staff, you will be an essential part of a close-knit team that will balance safety with fun. Our Mountain Biking Staff encourages and engages with our campers throughout the class, helping them to achieve their goals and surpass their expectations. You will love working on our Mountain Biking Staff if you enjoy encouraging those around you while also having a keen eye for safety and detail.

What are the activity teaching periods like?

For June, Main, and August Camps, we have 5 classes in the morning and two classes in the afternoon that are 40 minutes long. Once girls are fitted for a helmet and a bike, they hit the trails! Staff often ride alongside campers.

What training and certifications do I need?

Our Mountain Biking staff participates in pre-camp training led by a local professional that focuses on teaching strategies and safety. This training will take place at Greystone.
