Our faith is the foundation of everything we do! We believe that great counselors rely on the Lord for the strength, patience, and energy to do this work well. Our ultimate goal is to glorify God by providing the best summer camp experience possible, and we invite our staff to join us in this mission!
Working at camp is an opportunity to practice Jesus’ call to take the lowest place. We serve the campers on a daily basis, practicing humility as we put their needs first. By teaching an activity with a smile on your face or sweeping the floor after a meal, you provide an environment where campers can thrive while learning more about Jesus. We love because He first loved us!
As a Greystone counselor, you will love and serve the campers out of your personal relationship with Christ. Past counselors describe this role as the best and hardest job they have ever had, and both are true!
Our counselors work hard even when they are tired, keep a positive attitude, show each other grace, and do all aspects of the job with excellence, for God’s glory and not their own.
Our style of ministry is relational and service-based. As a Christ-centered camp, our faith is woven naturally into everything we do; it is a part of who we are. Instead of “preaching” to the girls, we put the emphasis on modeling Christ and His love through the way we live our lives. Campers will learn so much more from what you do than what you say!
Because of this, we adopt a “no pressure” approach to sharing the gospel. We believe that the Holy Spirit changes hearts and that our job is simply to love and serve each camper we meet. As Christians, we always respect the families of our non-Christian campers with different religious views. While our beliefs may differ from theirs, our purpose as a girls’ camp, and as counselors is, to show the love of Christ and do our jobs well. We trust that God is using this work for the good of His kingdom!

Many staff say that they grow more when they’re at Greystone than during any other time of their year! Just like our campers, you will grow mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually in your work here.
The Lord works in our counselors’ lives at camp just as much as He does our campers! We put a high priority on nurturing our counselors spiritually.
