Our team of nurses work together with a camp physician to assess, treat, and support campers and staff. Greystone nurses have excellent clinical and assessment skills that they use to promote health and wellness for all campers and staff.
Our nurses work hard, take initiative, collaborate with others, problem solve, and serve others in order to contribute to the greater goals of Greystone. If you want to experience camp nursing, work hard in an energetic team environment, expand your nursing experience, and meet kind, service-minded nurses, working in the Greystone Health Hut is for you!
All nurses must have an active nursing license in North Carolina (or a compact state) and a current BLS/CPR certification. We require that nurses work a week or longer at camp and have pertinent educational and work experiences. An application, recent work references, and telephone interview are required before being hired.
You will enjoy the camaraderie and collaboration of working on our Health Hut Team while enjoying the beauty of the NC mountains with accommodations and meals included. Although our work day is long, we offer competitive wages, room and board, and one day off per week. Staff discounts on camper tuition are available. You will find that Greystone is a place that cares deeply about their staff and equips nurses to do their work well.
We are grateful that our nurses love to return year after year! Most summers we have limited openings for new nurses, but if your background, skills, and work ethic seem to be a match with what you’ve read here, please reach out to our Head Nurse. We would be happy to talk with you and send you a link to apply for Summer 2025.
